Escrow is a simple system where a customer pays the money for a job to a third party to hold until the job is completed.
Only when the job is completed will the third party then release the money to the supplier.
So in short, Escrow keeps your money safe while the job is being done, taking away the risk of jobs not being completed or companies dissapearing with your money.
