In a bid to provide a safer more informed way to choose a tradesman or tradeswoman we have introduced another two levels of checks.
Working in conjunction with Trading Standards Specialists Business Approval Ltd we are adding further checks.

2. Copies are taken of the owner's photo ID
3. Proof of trading address
4. Companies House check
5. VAT check
6. Three recent customer references (Being phased out)
7. Two Trade References (Being phased out)
8. Valid insurances produced
9. All accreditations checked
10. Signed Code of Conduct

Tier 2
12. As of, MARCH 2017 we joined forces with Business Approval Ltd and raised the bar even higher. Business Approval Ltd introduced further checks including CCJ’s, criminal history, confirmed agreement to read and follow Consumer Contract law and to abide by e-commerce guidelines and regulations. Business Approval Ltd also checks the national database for complaints and nefarious connections.
Finally, the member’s details are checked by Trading Standards themselves against their national database (This is facilitated by our partners Business Approval Ltd).
