Garden re-turfed.
Two lawns were replaced late Autumn 2018. After the second cut in the Spring of 2019, the grass was found to have more coarse grass in it than before the replacement.
Grass was in very good condition before replacement,as I pride myself on the lawn.
'Elders' do not want to know about the issue and I am now left trying to rid my lawns of the coarse grass.I am in a worse position than before replacement and £900 poorer.
They did come out to look at the lawns when I was not at home,but did not report back until I contacted them.Which was very difficult to do,as they frequently did not answer the phone.
Excellent throughout the job,but seemingly unable to respond to or resolve complaints.
Grass supplier they used categorically states it's not the grass,so can only assume it was the top dressing to the soil that has caused the problem.
I hate complaining and writing poor reviews. It is such an awful thing to do,as I always like to support and see local business do well. Not a good advert for the company as our friends, family and neighbours have all noticed the poor grass.
Feeling very embarrassed that we have paid such a lot for such a poor outcome.Such is life!
A good solution would be the grass put right or a refund.That would place company in a good position,with its reputation restored.
Surely resolving complaints are the keystone to exemplary business practice and success,giving future customers confidence in their services.

We were asked to take up a lawn and replace it in the Autumn of 2018. The customer later contacted us,complaining he had coarse grass which had appeared in his lawn.
He admitted the grass was there last year,but failed to point this out or we would have sprayed the lawn first,killing all grass before we replaced it.
We looked at the grass,taking photos and samples and went to our turf supplier. They advised us that grass was not in the seed mix used in the turf. It would have been in the ground,coming through again in spring and not in the turf or soil we'd used.
We spoke to customer whilst on holiday,although the signal was bad abroad.
We did what we were asked to do,given the information provided by the customer at the time.
Had we been given all the information,we would have prepared for the job differently. Thank you.
