Single storey rear extension, knocking out rear wall to create open plan kitchen/diner. I was looking to have a single storey rear extension built to open up the back of my house and create more space for dining/entertaining. I had a number of quotes from various builders but Paul’s approach and advice filled me with the most confidence. The quote was very reasonable although some items were not included so very important to check the finer detail when comparing quotes. Overall though, the price was very competitive and in line with budget. Work was able to commence within a week or so and there was a good team of lads got to grips with breaking up existing conservatory foundations and digging new deeper foundations. Foundations were dug further than expected which did incur additional cost but I was kept informed throughout. Building work progresses rapidly and the lads were always polite, courteous and tidy. Make sure you keep topped up with teabags. Paul gave good advice on positioning of Windows/doors etc and also gave great advice on having larger Velux windows which gives fantastic light into the kitchen. Overall the work was carried out exactly to my expectation and satisfaction, a few very minor defects dealt with swiftly and professionally. I would certainly recommend Paul and the team to any one thinking of having any work done.

I have had a wrap around extension built. Single level, going out at the side and back of my property. This was to increase the size of my kitchen/diner and add 2 extra bedrooms. Having not had any experience of building work or extensions previously I wasn't sure what to expect. However, it has been amazing. The build is better than I expected. The rooms are bigger and better than expected. It has been done to an exceptional standard in a short space of time. The builders have all been fantastic. Very professional, reliable and exceptionally skilled. But also, well mannered, conscientious and a pleasure to see on a daily basis. Couldn't have wished for more.

Demolish existing garage and utility room and build a single story playroom/extension to existing kitchen. . We couldn't be happier with this company or the work they completed. They started when they said they would and were always punctual, finishing the job in the expected time frame even taking into account a couple of bad days weather. The whole team were very professional and kept us informed of what was happening at every stage of the job. They even carried out some extra work (replacing existing guttering) which we requested during the building work being carried out, without any issues. We always felt happy to leave the team of lads in our house when we were out without worrying. They cleaned up at the end of every day and were extremely professional throughout. We can't praise them highly enough for the work they carried out and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone else.

Single storey extension to rear of detached property. Paul and his team were good to their word in that they started the work on time, were always punctual and nothing was any bother. The extension was completed in 5 weeks against a quote from Paul of 6-8 weeks so were very pleased. The workmanship is excellent with brick matching unnoticeable from the original. They were very well organised and Chris the plumber, Richie the electrician and others such as plasterers were coordinated well and sometimes we had extra work needing doing and Paul would have the required tradesman there the same day. Non-quoted work was carried out without any bother and very fairly priced. All in all a real pleasure to deal with and we noticed once they were finished, we missed them around the place. Thanks a lot Paul and the team!.

Integral Garage conversion into room, landing window. Garage concrete floor removed, insulated, new window, and velux window in roof space, knocked through into lounge for open plan room. New opening on landing for new window. It took Paul and his lads 7 working days and I can't thank him and team enough, Paul keeps you informed throughout, tremendous job done, well recommended.

Demolished rear garden wAll formed new wAll and tied it in to the neighbouring Walls. New garage door opening formed with supporting lintol and new brick out house built onto concrete raft. Demolished existing rear wall re-built forming garage door opening with lintol over and built brick out house. The work started at 1pm and was complete 48 hours later. The quality of work was exceptional and we were extremely pleased with the speed and efficiency of the workmanship and would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone!.

Two storey extension at side, single storey extension at rear +repositioning of drains to accomodate extension. I had around 7 quotes from various builders for the work undertaken, but none filled me with as much confidence as Paul. Of the seven, four of them would only give an estimate over the phone based on submitted plans, saying they had done the same type of work the previous week, one came out with a pre-prepared quote expecting me to sign up immediately. It was only Paul at JP builders that came without the preconceived ideas of how the build was to go and took an interest in the actual job, noticing that drains may need to be moved and that soil was probably on a good clay base so that the foundations should be fairly straight forward, little details like those filled me with confidence. The other companies that came to the house for the quote were done and dusted in about 10 minutes, Paul was there for about an hour looking for any potential issues. All the companies quoted but another pleasant surprise came when Pauls quote came in, typically it was around 35%-45% less than the others, I was happy to go ahead, with Paul saying he could start in mid-late August (quotes were gathered around May 2011) – I still had to have the planning approved so I was happy with the start time. Building got underway in 1st week of September due to a couple of minor overruns on other jobs with his customers asking for extras or unforeseen work on those builds, but I was expecting a some variation on the start time for those reasons, so this was not an issue. Once underway, Paul and his team were very affable and efficient – they started early in the morning and would work Saturdays if they though the project was going off target in time terms. They worked quickly, but had a good eye on quality all the time. Communication was good at all times, and any potential problems/issues/improvements were relayed back to me quickly. They all worked on the job as a team, and concentrated purely on my house – they were definitely not shooting off to multitude of jobs elsewhere. Any s.
