The Trading Standards Approved Accreditation
'Trading Standards Approved' is the accreditation that businesses can achieve by being vetted by Trading Standards Professionals and undergoing a check by at least one Trading Standards Service.
In addition, businesses must have satisfied the requirements of the approved code, established by the Local Authority Assured Trader Scheme Network and have committed to treat their customers fairly.
In order to ensure this additional vetting and approval process is completely independent, impartial and fair, Checked and Vetted employ the expertise of Trading Standards Professionals from Business Approval Ltd who in turn are supported by a number of Local Authority Trading Standards Services. The 'Trading Standards Approved' status is provided by Business Approval Ltd with Checked and Vetted sponsoring some of your fees for the membership and approval process.
This way, we are able to provide guidance on “fair trading law” and assistance with the detailed vetting process that is needed for businesses to become Trading Standards Approved with Checked and Vetted.
